Dzus fastener Installation tools.

Dzus Fastener installation tools:   with this set you can install the recessed Dzus fasteners on cowlings, making the countersink and swaging the grommet around the fastener to hold it in place.  Great for new cowlings or repairing old ones when the Dzus stud falls out.  Drill the proper hole size, dimple with the tool, set the stud in place, and use the swaging blocks to set the grommet around the stud.   Also handles the wing --type studs.

Flying wire wrench

No-Mar Flying wire wrench:    Building or maintaining a biplane?   You know then that tightening the streamlined flying wires is a pain since wrenches and pliers will nick the wires, which could ruin your whole day.  This wrench is made from 6061T6 aluminum so it's softer than the wires, and wide enough to provide a good grip without slipping or nicking.  If you don't try to put on  the tension required to hold up the Verrazano Bridge,  they'll last a long time. One wrench fits 4 different wire sizes, and a lot cheaper than replacing one wire.

Wing Rib Crimpers

Piper wing rib splice crimpers:   If you're working on Pipers with the "T" channel wing ribs, you know what a pain it is to crimp a repair section splice over the existing rib channel.   These pliers, made from vise grips, reach around the bottom of the "T" to crimp the splice over the web, making a tight fit.  They'll even hold the splice in place tightly while drilling for the rivets. The radiused crimping edges won't split the splice.   In fact, we don't know how to do a decent  rib splice job without them--every splice job out there without using this tool must be terrible.
